  • No, experience is not required for our electric whisper boats (max. 5 persons). Before departure, we will personally explain everything and provide clear instructions, so you can head out on the water with confidence.

    Yes, experience is required for our electric sloops and traditional Dutch barges. This means that the skipper should have previous experience operating a similar boat and know how to steer and manoeuvre the boat properly. A boating license is not needed.

  • We offer several different routes: 2 hours, 2.5 hours, 3 hours, and 3.5 hours. All of our routes pass through the beautiful village of Broek in Waterland.

    Depending on the time slot you have booked, we will choose a suitable route together before departure, with or without a stop along the way. You will receive a clear route map on board, which we will go through together before you leave. Along the route, signs in the water will help guide you.

    Download the free ‘Routefabriek’ app and log in using the code ‘Overleek’. This allows you to follow every route with live location tracking and spoken navigation instructions.

  • If the weather conditions are bad, it may not be enjoyable to be out on the water. Please email us (info@bootverhuuroverleek.nl) or call us (0031616108874) to reschedule or cancel your reservation.

    In case of cancellation, the prepaid amount will be refunded, minus the reservation fee.

  • Yes, we offer different sizes and types of life jackets for children, which we provide free of charge. There is no need to reserve life jackets in advance — we have plenty available.

    Children who can’t swim will always receive a life jacket from us to wear on board.

  • Yes, dogs are welcome on board. On our property, dogs must always be kept on a leash because of our free-roaming chickens.

    We kindly ask you to leave the boat clean and free of dog hair afterwards, and to bring a blanket for your dog to lie on during the trip.

  • Reserve a freshly prepared picnic to enjoy on board, homemade by us. You can easily add it to your boat reservation. Here you can view the contents and prices. Of course, you are also welcome to bring your own food and drinks on board.

  • In our tea garden we serve homemade cakes, specialty coffee from White Label Coffee, tea, fresh juices and smoothies, and homemade lemonade.

    * Please note that we do not offer an à la carte lunch menu. Lunch is available in the form of a freshly prepared picnic to take on board. Advance reservation is required.

  • Yes, we offer gift vouchers for boat trips — a wonderful gift to receive. You can either pick up the gift voucher yourself or have it sent by post. Ordering is easy and secure here.

  • Yes, groups up to 20 people are very welcome to enjoy a self-drive boating experience with us. You can reserve either 2 electric traditional Dutch barges or 4 electric whisper boats.

    Before or after your boat trip, we would be happy to welcome you in our garden for coffee and homemade cake. We can also prepare a freshly made picnic for you to enjoy on board.

  • Yes, we have plenty of free parking available on our property.

  • No, we are not easily accessible by public transport*. We recommend visiting us by car, bicycle, or taxi. Our address is Overleek 6 at Monnickendam.

    * From the “Bernhardbrug” bus stop in Monnickendam, it is still a 3 km walk. There is a local shuttle bus, but it does not run frequently and does not operate on Sundays and holidays.
